Sagamok Anishnawbek will be making investments in both market housing and social housing in 2023 and future years. We expect to see many new homes going in at Maple Ridge subdivision this summer and next year.  Our community housing needs are growing because our families are growing and many of our members living away are wanting to return to the community. Government of Canada Programs don’t come close to meeting the needs of our people and our community does not have the financial means to provide subsidized social housing to everyone.

Council has plans to equally support members who can afford tr rent a home, and members who need to rely on social subsidies to afford housing.
