Message Regarding RHT Settlement Disbursement Decision-Making

At a duly convened meeting of the Sagamok Anishnawbek Chief and Council dated May 28, 2024, the Chief and Council resolved to poll the Membership regarding the Sagamok Anishnawbek Robinson Huron Treaty (RHT)Settlement Disbursement. OneFeather Mobile Technologies Inc was appointed to conduct an impartial, unofficial poll of the membership.  The sole purpose of this unofficial poll is to gauge community member preference on Sagamok Anishnawbek’s RHT Disbursement and aid the Chief and Council with RHT settlement disbursement decision-making.  Sagamok Anishnawbek uses the official Voter’s List of the Membership in accordance with the Sagamok Anishnawbek Membership Law. Those individuals who are listed on the Voter's List are eligible to access the poll both online from June 19-July 3rd, and in person on July 3^rd in Sagamok.  To access the online poll option, please click here.

Please note, that while Registered Members in accordance with the Sagamok Membership Law are eligible to participate in the poll, all those who are Registered Indians of Sagamok Anishnawbek (with an Indian Registry Number that starts with 179) shall be eligible for a Per Capita Distribution amount from the RHT Settlement Disbursement to Sagamok Anishnawbek.
