Aanii Kina Wiya! I have joined the Mental Health and Addictions team as a Wellness Counselor. I was previously assigned as the Community Health Rep temporarily and prior to that I was the Parent Infant Advisor. I have worked many years for Sagamok Anishnawbek as a Daycare Teacher and Educational Assistant and have a strong connection with our community. I graduated from Cambrian College in Early Childhood Education. I am a mother to 6 amazing children and 4 adorable grandsons who have blessed my life. I provide support services to anyone who is experiencing personal struggles as well as primary and secondary prevention programs related to addictions. I will also be collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in the planning and implementation of a variety of community activities to promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. I am so excited to be a part of the Mental Health and Addictions Team.
