Correspondence
Two letters received by the Political Office: one from Deanna Southwind and the other from Rhea Assinewe. Per Deanna’s request, Angus spoke with Housing, and work is to be completed Friday with mold removed and the space remediated; Deanna is expected to move back in to the home over the course of the weekend. Rhea is thankful for the support given by the community, and has prepared a request to Council for assistance in ensuring their current residence is brought up to a livable standard. She’s unsure of what exactly is needed, and it was suggested to set aside a notional amount to have a contractor assess the property. Meggan will confirm if sufficient funds are available in the OFNLP account to commit $25,000.00; with precedence being set with the assistance granted to Jessie Hardisty.
Motion 2023/01 #02
Sagamok Chief & Council motion to commit $25000.00 of OFNLP funds to assist Rhea Assinewe with renovations of her current home located at Toulouse Bay Road, provided funds are available.
