Re: Robinson Huron Treaty Annuities Settlement Community Information Session Materials & Recording

I am writing to you as counsel for the Robinson Huron Treaty Litigation Fund as follow-up to the community information sessions which were delivered in your community and throughout the Treaty territory as required under the Settlement Agreement.

Enclosed with this letter you will find a copy of the recording from your community session held on July 17, 2023, copies of the presentations that Duke Peltier, the legal team, and Ryan McLeod delivered, a copy of the Compensation Disbursement Agreement and a plain language version of the Trust Indenture which our office prepared.

These materials are being shared with you and your communications team to share with members of your community on a Settlement Privileged basis and not for the public. For this reason, it is paramount that the materials be posted on a password protected “members only portal” where the general public will not have access to them. Further, given the confidential nature of the materials, they must be uploaded in a “read only” format that prohibits the documents from being downloaded, altered, or re-uploaded by members of your community.

As more materials are prepared, we will share them with you and your team so that they may be uploaded in the same manner as this first set of materials.
