A bear trap has been set up at the Powwow Grounds to trap an injured bear so that it can be treated.
Please DO NOT approach, touch, or tamper with the trap, and DO NOT place food in or near the trap. It is already baited and is being monitored twice daily by professionals.
Within two hours of the trap being set, it was compromised. The trap is set to ensure the safety and well-being of the injured bear, and it is imperative that it does not get compromised again. Miigwech for your cooperation.
Once the injured bear is caught, it will be assessed for treatment.
