Community Notice: Hydrant Flow Testing

Please be advised that the Water & Sanitation Department will be conducting hydrant flow testing throughout the Sagamok Community from August 5-8, 2025, between the hours of 7:00AM and 2:00PM each day.

Hydrant flow testing is a vital part of our regular maintenance and fire protection program. The purpose of this testing is to:

  • Ensure hydrants are operating properly and can deliver sufficient water flow in the event of a fire.
  • Measure pressure and flow rates to assess the overall health of the water distribution system.
  • Identify potential issues such as closed valves, sediment buildup, or low-pressure zones.

Please note:

Due to elevation differences, residents along Archie’s Road may experience temporary low water pressure during the testing period. This is a normal and expected part of the process. Pressure will return to normal levels once testing is completed each day.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue working to ensure the safety and reliability of Sagamok’s water system. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Water & Sanitation Department at 705-863-2874.
