Our community is coming together to strengthen safety, build trust, and support one another — and we need your voice.
Sagamok is forming a Community Safety Working Group and is seeking dedicated youth volunteers who care about creating a safer, healthier, and more connected neighbourhood.
ℹ️ What the Working Group Will Do
- Identify key safety concerns and community priorities
- Develop practical strategies and local action plans
- Support awareness campaigns and community outreach
- Work with local partners, service providers, and leadership
- Promote a collaborative, community-led approach to safety
ℹ️ Who We're Looking For
Youth community members of all backgrounds who are:
- Interested in safety, wellbeing, and community engagement.
- Willing to participate in 6 facilitator-led in-person sessions (3 blocks of 2 back-to-back days - approximately 48 hours total).
- Willing to participate in engagement activities with community and leadership by developing and implementing a Community Engagement Plan.
- Open to sharing ideas and working together.
No experience is required — just a commitment to helping improve our community.
