Equine Assisted Learning - Are you interested?

Sagamok Anishnawbek's Family and Community Support Services is exploring the possibility of offering Equine Assisted Learning programs locally.  Is EAL something that you feel would benefit you, or someone you know?

Equine Assisted Learning is a new method of engaging children.  EAL, as it is often called, is becoming a very popular approach to acquiring leadership skills, refining emotional intelligence and social skills.  The focus of the program is from the ground, and non-ridden.  With trust, cohesion, communication and respect being foundational, this evidence backed method has been proven to improve pro-social behavior, while reducing feelings of aggression, anger, anxiety and negative self-image. The horse - human partnership is key, as horses provide immediate and meaningful feedback.
