Effective immediately, a Fire Ban has been issued for Sagamok Anishnawbek due to the Extreme High Fire Hazard Rating across the region.

As a result:

• All previously issued fire permits are now void.
• All open-air burning is strictly prohibited until further notice.
• No new fire permits will be issued while the Fire Ban remains in effect.
• Residents and visitors are asked to comply with this ban to help prevent wildfires and protect community safety.

We request that this notice be distributed through all available communication channels, including social media, the community website, radio announcements, and any other appropriate public notification methods.

The Fire Ban will remain in effect until conditions improve and an official notice is issued lifting the restriction. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring this important public safety message reaches the community.
