Mushkiki Miikan - Pathways to Medicine | Medical School Application Support for Indigenous Learners

Mushkiki Miikan is a collaborative initiative across Ontario medical schools including the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSM University),the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine (Temerty Medicine),Queen's University, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and McMaster University with the goal of improving access, providing tailored support, and creating a nurturing environment for Indigenous students throughout their medical educational journey.

OPEN TO INDIGENOUS HIGH SCHOOL (GRADE 9 - 12) AND UNDERGRADUATE INDIGENOUS STUDENTS INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN MEDICINE.

Meet fellow and previous applicants: connect with members of the Indigenous community who understand your journey.
Access Resources: summer programs, medical school application support, MCAT support, multiple-mini-Interview tips, and more.
Peer Support: guidance and mentorship from prospective, incoming, or current medical students.
Community Empowerment: share experiences, celebrate milestones, and navigate the challenges in the medical school application journey.
