NOTICE
All residents from the Sagamok Millennium Centre through to the Industrial Park, including all homes along River Road and River Crescent
The Sagamok Water Department is advising all residents from the Sagamok Millennium Centre through to the Industrial Park, including all homes along River Road and River Crescent, to prepare for a potential disruption to the water distribution system.
As a precaution, all affected households are strongly encouraged to store enough drinking water to last up to five (5) days. This should include water for drinking, cooking, and basic hygiene needs.
Due to rising water levels in the Spanish River, there is a risk that our water system could become compromised. Critical infrastructure in this area includes a watermain running beneath the roadway near Peter Owls’ Pond, as well as three main isolation valves and distribution lines along Sagamok Road and River Road. If conditions worsen, the Water Department may need to shut down these main valves to protect the overall system and public health.
Residents are also asked to remain vigilant. If you notice any changes in your water quality, such as discoloration, unusual taste, or odour, please report it immediately to the Water Department.
For reporting or questions, please contact:
Kayla Abitong – 705-863-2874
Devin Austin – 705-923-4271
We appreciate your cooperation and preparedness as we work to ensure the safety and reliability of our community’s water supply.
Sincerely,
Sagamok Water Department
