Drive safely – slow down and maintain the speed limit.
Speeding not only endangers the driver but also puts other road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, at risk. The consequences of speeding extend beyond the individual driver, affecting the safety of the entire community.
The community electronic speed monitoring devices in the community not only capture and show your speed, but also keeps data on a wide range of variables such as speed of vehicles, number of vehicles, dates and times of when vehicles are travelling, number of possible violations, and times of busiest vehicle traffic.
The monitoring devices are quite visible and they should serve as a reminder to slow down and maintain the speed limit in the community for the safety of everyone using the roads.
Below is a snapshot of some of the data for the period of January 1 – September 2, 2025, at Sagamok Road (Riverview) and Sagamok Road (Catholic Church).
