Due to seasonal maintenance and system optimization, Sagamok Anishnawbek will be conducting water main flushing and pressure testing throughout the community.
📅 Monday, May 11, 2026 to approximately Monday, June 1, 2026
Flushing and pressure testing will take place weekdays between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Work will begin from the tower out to the lower areas of the system and progress throughout the community until all lines have been thoroughly flushed and tested.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Temporary discoloration of water
- Fluctuations in water pressure
- Occasional short-term service interruptions
Even areas not scheduled on a given day may experience temporary discoloration.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS:
- Please run your cold water tap until clear if discoloration occurs
- Avoid doing laundry during flushing and for 24 hours after work is completed in your area
- Check and clean faucet screens/aerators if needed
