Youth Strength Training and Conditioning Fitness Classes

THE PROGRAM WILL START ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2024

12-15 YEAR OLD CLASS: 4-5PM

16-24 YEAR OLD CLASS 5-6PM

At the Sagamok Fitness Centre

Limited Enrollment - 10 registrants per class.

This program will focus on Youth age 12-15 years of age and then a second group for ages 16-24 years of age, no fitness experience is necessary, just a desire to learn and do your best. The class will be instructed by a personal trainer with over 20 years experience

within the field (Curtis Bulloch from Elite Fitness in Espanola). Classes will focus on teaching youth the fundamental basics of strength training and conditioning. The course will provide a fun, safe and supportive atmosphere for the youth to build confidence in themselves and their ability to use the equipment at the Fitness Centre. The youth will gain a strong foundation to be able to support themselves in living a healthy active lifestyle as they get older. The program will foster a safe space for youth to get to know each other and thus build positive healthy relationships with others of similar interests. When the program is complete, the goal is for the participants to have gained knowledge, skills and confidence to know what to do when they go to the Fitness Centre and that the Fitness Centre is a safe and positive place for them to spend their time.  Exercise has countless benefits to our overall body, mind and spirit. By participating, youth will be supporting their social, emotional and physical health and well-being.
