Andrea Hajt-Jacobs, a member of Sagamok Anishnawbek, currently serves as the Director of the Council Secretariat. She has worked in Sagamok for approximately 20 years. She has been the Manager of Sagamok’s Employment and Training LDM for 18 years. Prior to joining Sagamok Anishnawbek, she held legal research positions with the Chiefs of Ontario and the Centre for Indigenous Sovereignty, worked as an Instructor for Negahneewin College of Indigenous Studies at Confederation College, has sat on numerous boards and committees including member elect to the Aboriginal Post Secondary Education Council, Biidajiwun Incorporated, and N’gwaagan Gamik Recovery Centre Inc. She has maintained a passion for supporting education and capacity building for Indigenous Peoples and communities for over 30 years.
