Arnelda Bennett


Arnelda Bennett has been in the Business field for the past 33 years, including 23 years as the Economic Development Manager for Sagamok Anishnawbek and 10 years as a Business Development Officer with Waubetek Business Development Corporation.  

Arnelda’s education includes a Business Administration Diploma from Canadore College, a Business Counselling Certificate from Confederation College, an Economic Development Program Certificate from the University of Waterloo, a Small Business Counsellor Program Certificate from Acadia University and a Business Executive Certification from Harvard University. 

 Arnelda is entering her 4th term (7th year) as a member of Sagamok’s Chief and Council. Her portfolios include:

Arnelda was born and raised in Sagamok with her seven siblings.  She is married to Cecil Eshkawkogan and the mother of four children.

Z’gamok Enterprises Inc. is a corporation 100% owned by the Sagamok Anishnawbek.  It is mandated to maximize the economic development opportunities of the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation within its traditional lands and within the Northern Ontario region in the resource sector and in services related to construction and resource development.
