Juanita Skruibis - Family and Community Support Services Director
Boozhoo Inendwaymahgaandok/Hello My Relatives, Aanii, my name is Juanita Skruibis. I am an Anishinaabe Kwe from Sagamok Anishnawbek, with extended family and connections within the community.
I have resided in beautiful City of Greater Sudbury for the past 20 years, establishing many connections and relationships. I earned a Diploma at Cambrian College in the Native Child and Family Services Program and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Laurentian University. My formal education has assisted in my passion for helping families and promoting wellness for children, youth, and families.
I have been fortunate to work with Indigenous children, youth, and families for the past twenty-plus years. Through my interactions and connections with others, I have adopted and incorporated the Seven Grandfather Teachings into my personal and professional life. As the Director of Family and Community Support Services for Sagamok Anishnawbek, I lead a diverse team dedicated to enhancing the well-being of families, children, and community members. With a deep commitment to supporting the holistic needs of the community, our team focuses on integrating culturally-rooted programs that promote healing, resilience, and empowerment. I hope to contribute through leadership, advocacy, and education.
