Membership

The Sagamok Anishnawbek Membership, Indian Registration Administration and Estates (MIRE) office is responsible for providing services to Sagamok Anishnawbek who live on and off reserve.  Funded by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Sagamok Anishnawbek, Indian Registration Administrators (IRA) main role is to help First Nation members apply for registration and status cards; maintain the accuracy of the Indian Register; and maintain membership lists. According to the Sagamok Band Registry at year-end March 31, 2024, there was a total of 3,168 registered with Sagamok Anishnawbek with 1,603 registered as on reserve and 1,565 registered as off reserve.
